Melinda Gladden, LCSW, PMHC
Hello my name is Melinda Gladden and I am a Licensed Bilingual Clinical Social Worker and Certified in Perinatal Mood Disorders. I received my Bachelors of Social Work from Mercy College in 2012 and received my Masters of Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College in 2013 after completing the Advance Standing Program. Upon graduating, I worked for 2 years at JCCA Edenwald located in Pleasantville, NY; where I was a Social Worker for children and adolescents who are in Residental Care due to DCF removals, for school, and for behavioral concerns. I moved to Connecticut in 2015 and began working at a Federally Qualified Health Center in Norwich, CT. This is where my love for working in Community Mental Health began. I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2017 and began supervising/ training graduate students and new clinicians in the field. In 2019, I began working at the Community Health Center INC as a Behavioral Health Clinician full time. In 2022, I began my new position at Community Health Center as a part time clinician running 7 groups and supervising staff members/ training students in clinical treatment and group work. I have been in the field of Social Work for over 10 years working with adults, children, families, and adolescents providing individual, group, and family therapy. My practice specialties are working with parents, behavior modification techniques, social skills training, intellectual disabilities, anxiety, depression, and trauma focused. I utilize evidence based models such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, MATCH, Social Thinking, Seeking Safety, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Circle of Security, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
