IPHCA Dental Directors Annual Training (September 7, 2023)

Activity Information

This training serves to meet the following objectives for dental providers:

  • Describe the current workforce statistics and the implications for delivering dental care
  • Discuss recommendations and new programs aimed at the recruitment and retention of  dental healthcare workers (dentists, dental assistants, dental hygienists)
  • Describe how a changing view of dentistry to oral health is affecting team-based care and the needs of a burn-out workforce
  • Describe the landscape and system-wide forces that affect dental care delivery for individuals with disabilities.  
  • Discuss research and publications that explore the needs from today’s oral health system as well as explore pathways to improved care for underserved individuals
  • Describe some of the future thinking opportunities that can be put into practice today to improve the health of your patients and create value. 
  • Describe how technology adoption is the necessary to bridge care gaps and better connect to patients
  • Describe how technology, predictive analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) can become a teammate to help drive better outcomes
  • Discuss the disruptive technologies that are driving changes in the practice of dentistry and changing patients’ interaction with oral health.

  2. Select the Register tab in the top navigation bar.
  3. Select the Continue button. 
  4. Review the instructions provided to enter the number of eligible credits and download your certificate.
