IPHCA Dental Directors Annual Training (September 7, 2023)
Activity Information
This training serves to meet the following objectives for dental providers:
- Describe the current workforce statistics and the implications for delivering dental care
- Discuss recommendations and new programs aimed at the recruitment and retention of dental healthcare workers (dentists, dental assistants, dental hygienists)
- Describe how a changing view of dentistry to oral health is affecting team-based care and the needs of a burn-out workforce
- Describe the landscape and system-wide forces that affect dental care delivery for individuals with disabilities.
- Discuss research and publications that explore the needs from today’s oral health system as well as explore pathways to improved care for underserved individuals
- Describe some of the future thinking opportunities that can be put into practice today to improve the health of your patients and create value.
- Describe how technology adoption is the necessary to bridge care gaps and better connect to patients
- Describe how technology, predictive analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) can become a teammate to help drive better outcomes
- Discuss the disruptive technologies that are driving changes in the practice of dentistry and changing patients’ interaction with oral health.

- Review the instructions provided to enter the number of eligible credits and download your certificate.
