Craig Hyps, AB, CISSP, CCSP, CCSI
As a Distinguished Engineer with Ordr, Craig drives next-generation solutions that enable organizations to keep pace with the hyper-connected Internet of Things (IoT) through automated classification and segmentation using ML/AI on big data platforms. Craig was a collaborator and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) speaker for the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and the Manufacturing Usage Description (MUD) specification which provides a framework for securely implementing Operational Technology devices. Craig is the author of numerous articles and frequent presenter on the topics of establishing trust, network access control design, medical device security, and Zero Trust cybersecurity. Craig is an active member of the IEEE P2933 Working Group focused on delivering actionable standards and best practices for Clinical IoT with TIPPSS (Trust, Identity, Privacy, Protection, Safety, Security) and a contributing author to Advanced Health Technology: Managing Risk While Tackling Barriers to Rapid Acceleration.
Prior to joining Ordr in 2018, Craig was a 20+ year veteran with Cisco Systems defining Cisco's policy and access control solutions including Identity Services Engine (ISE) and Software-Defined Access (SDA). He was a leading force behind its super-scaling architecture and the advancement of NAC for IoT. Craig is the author of numerous articles on ISE best practices including the ISE Profiling Design Guide and Cisco Medical NAC. Craig is a Cisco Live Hall-of-Fame Distinguished Speaker and holds an AB degree from Dartmouth College plus certifications that include CISSP, CCSP, and CCSI.
