National Association of School Nurses for the Deaf Conference (July 29-31, 2024)
Program Information
The National Association of School Nurses for the Deaf Conference brings together dedicated nurses from health centers at Deaf schools across the country for three days of connection and learning. Join us in-person from July 29-31, 2024, to enhance your knowledge and skills in providing culturally sensitive and effective care for Deaf and hard of hearing school-age children.
Continuing education for the conference is made possible through Moses/Weitzman Health System, Inc. (MWHS) and its Weitzman Institute, the research, education, and policy arm of MWHS. For every CME/CE-eligible session you attend and evaluate, you will receive the appropriate CME or CE credit amount. There is an opportunity to earn a maximum of 7 total CME/CE hours.

Target Audience
This conference is for nurses from health centers at Deaf schools across the country.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to do the following:
- Better understand Deaf culture, and incorporate that understanding into daily nursing care.
- Improve language access to Deaf patients through nurses learning ASL, and knowing when to utilize interpreters.
- Advance health literacy among Deaf patients by promoting early health education with Deaf children.

Moses/Weitzman Health System, Inc. is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credential Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. Additional credits are available for Physician Assistants/Associates.
By completing this activity, you provide Moses/Weitzman Health System Inc. the permission to share completion data with the ACCME and the certifying board(s).

Registration Instructions
- Select the Register button to register for all conference sessions, regardless of your attendance.
- Select the presentations you attended. Within each activity, select the Continue tab to complete session evaluations and claim your credits.
- Once you have attended all sessions in which you intend to participate and completed the session evaluations:
- You can claim credit commensurate with your total attendance for the conference as a whole.
- You will then be able to download a certificate appropriate to your credentials.
