Dr. Tavernier is a licensed clinical health psychologist with 12+ years of experience developing and implementing treatment approaches to improve maternal and child health. She currently works as a Senior Research Scientist at the Weitzman Institute where her program of research incorporates mixed methods and centers social determinants of health and primary care innovation. She has subject matter expertise in multiple areas of public health significance, including smoking, obesity, mental health, translational science, and maternal and child health disparities. Dr. Tavernier also holds specialty certification in perinatal mental health and is the sole owner of a private practice where she works with clients experiencing perinatal mental health concerns and fertility challenges.
