Program Information
The OPCWI Annual Event is a premier gathering designed to bring together all disciplines and students training in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), as well as key stakeholders in the Ohio Primary Care Workforce Initiative.
This event offers an excellent platform for participants to engage in meaningful discussions on OPCWI, clinical interprofessional education, innovative student teaching methods, and the latest in health workforce development, including comprehensive care and the integration of medicine.

Target Audience

Learning Objectives
1. Preceptors and student understand teaching objectives for student rotations
2. Provide high quality, positive educational experiences for students in FQHCs
3. Learn how to work with inter professional learners during simultaneous rotations in your health center
4. Learn how to best incorporate students in a meaningful way into the patient care activities of your FQHC
5. Enhance the teaching skills of FQHC preceptors
6. Enhance the learning skills of the health profession students
7. Provide several effective teaching strategies to use with health profession students that may be applied in a busy clinical setting.
8. Help build behavioral health literacy for participating schools that will include knowledge, attitudes, and skills needed to build and maintain positive behavioral health and recognize behavioral health challenges as well as appropriate ways to seek help.
9. Help build wellness and provide a foundation for students, teachers, and families who may need a greater level of behavioral health support.
10. Learn more about the principles of integration of care and how comprehensive care is aligned in whole person whole team care.
