
CASBHC Lunch and Learn Series 2025 (Nexplanon Training Series - Various Dates)
Program Information
The Nexplanon training workshop includes hands-on practice with simulation models to help HCPs master the insertion and removal techniques. Participants engage in interactive discussions and role-playing scenarios to improve their patient communication skills. The workshop also provides opportunities for peer feedback and guidance from experienced trainers to ensure proficiency and confidence in performing the procedures.
Nexplanon implant training is required for healthcare professionals (HCPs) performing insertions and/or removals of the implant. The training includes information on patient selection methods, counseling, content, and techniques for instrument use during IUD placement. It also covers the insertion of each type of IUD currently available in the United States
