Program Information
These presentations focus on the discussion of integrating behavioral health strategies for patients of all ages who are showing signs of behavioral health challenges within their oral health care visit. The goal is to provide dental providers with a few tools and different perspective in giving patients completing their oral health care visit with more support.

Target Audience
The Oral Health and Older Adults Webinars is designed to elevate social worker knowledge of oral-systemic health and opportunities to integrate this knowledge in their social work practice and communication with the interdisciplinary team.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to do the following:
- Identify the unique oral health challenges faced by older adults in skilled nursing setting.
- Identify the connection between oral health and overall health among residents in the skilled nursing setting.
- Identify some signs patients are experiencing leads to Behavioral health challenges.
- Understand ways of communicating concerns with patients regarding behavioral health.
- Learn different strategies to help support patients showing behavioral health challenges.
The webinar has sessions on two Thursday from 6:30-7:30PM EST. The topics and dates are as follows:
