Postgraduate Quality Improvement Seminar Series: Managing Up and Gaining Leadership Buy-In (March 27, 2025)
Program Information
There is a major movement underway in healthcare nationally to develop ways to improve the results of care and make care safer for patients and families. These issues have been the subject of many reports by the Institute of Medicine and are being discussed in all health professional disciplines (nursing, medicine, behavioral health, pharmacy, health administration, and others). In addition to the agreement that we must improve care, there is broad support for enhancing the learning of health professionals to include topics and experiences that will prepare health professionals to lead the changes that will result in a better system. In addition, feedback from former residents, postdocs, and fellows suggested they appreciated the opportunity to engage in quality improvement during their training.
The QI Seminar Series is designed to provide trainees with an opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills to improve care. The series offers multiple tools and ways to use them that trainees will be able to try in their own work, and then explore using further in their work after training.

- Postgraduate Nurse Practitioners - Family, Psychiatric Mental Health, Adult-Gerontology, and Pediatric
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to do the following:
- Enhance the knowledge and skills of learners to increase confidence and competence of caring for a complex patient population in FQHCs and other safety net settings.
- Enhance the skill of learners to increase confidence and competence of designing, implementing and assessing a change related to the health care system in which learners are practicing.

How do I access the session recording and materials?
Select the Continue tab and then the Continue button. In the Activity progress menu, select the date from which you would like to view materials. When you select the date, the session recording and presentation materials will be located under their respective headers.
Can I receive CME/CE credit for reviewing the recording?
The recordings are intended to be used for reference and review of the material only, and do not provide credits.
The session recording and materials I am looking to access are not available. What should I do?
Our Program Specialists edit the recordings and then upload the files to a video platform. Therefore, the recordings and materials are not uploaded to the Weitzman Education Platform immediately after the session takes place. Check back to this site at a later time. If you have any questions, please reach out to your Program Specialist.
