Sandra Sanchez is the Manager of AltaMed's Nurse Practitioner (NP) Fellowship Program. With ten years of experience in academic advisement and program development, she has made significant contributions to workforce development in the health sector, particularly through her work on several HRSA grants. Sandra’s expertise lies in developing and managing programs that prepare healthcare professionals to serve medically underserved communities. As a first-generation college student, Sandra earned both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education degrees from California State University, Northridge. Her academic background and professional experience have fueled her passion for uplifting underrepresented communities and mentoring culturally competent healthcare professionals. Sandra is committed to creating opportunities for individuals from diverse backgrounds to thrive in health careers, ensuring that the healthcare system is reflective of the communities it serves.
