Advancing Cancer Screening Across Health Centers (Date TBD 2)
Program Information
Advancing Cancer Screening Across Health Centers is a webinar series designed to equip frontline health professionals with the tools, strategies, and insights needed to improve cancer screening rates and advance health equity within community-based settings. Each 60-minute session will explore key challenges to screening completion, including socioeconomic barriers, care coordination gaps, and access limitations. Participants will gain exposure to real-world solutions that have demonstrated success in improving follow-up compliance, reducing time to diagnosis, and fostering patient trust—especially among underserved populations. Sessions will include case studies, data-driven insights, and opportunities for peer-to-peer dialogue.
This series is tailored for healthcare professionals working in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), outreach and navigation programs, cancer screening clinics, and population health departments. It is ideal for nurses, nurse practitioners, community health workers (CHWs), patient navigators, social workers, and quality improvement staff. Participants will learn evidence-based strategies such as motivational interviewing, culturally responsive outreach, and workflow redesign to promote timely and equitable cancer screenings. By the end of the series, attendees will be able to identify and implement actionable approaches to strengthen cancer screening pathways and outcomes within their own organizations.
