Dr. Lew is an Associate Professor at the University of Connecticut. She received her Doctor of Nursing Science degree from the Yale University School of Nursing. Dr. Lew has been a diabetes researcher for greater than 20 years with a focus on diabetes self-management for diverse populations. She has 15 years of practice experience as a diabetes nurse practitioner. Dr. Lew is a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing. Currently, Dr. Lew is a multiple principal investigator on a NIH/NIDDK R01 examining glucose monitoring in low-income adults receiving care in federally qualified health centers.
