CHC School-Based Health Center: Developing Teams (August 21, 2025)
Program Information
Leading teams is a talent and skill set that can often lead providers feeling overwhelmed, unsure, and fearful of next steps. Team Development, that is, examining the current states of one's team, current barriers of communication and identifying missing learning gaps, is vital for teams to develop and utilize the talents within the team.
Aligning one's values and bringing them to the team to serving others, is paramount for the growth of the team to move from forming and storming, into norming and performing.
Over the course of the interaction, providers will learn how to identify their personal values as well as conducting a personal inventory of their personality as it relates to team leadership, as well as to explore ways that they can support team members. Helping to identify personal strengths and vulnerabilities, allows teams to grow into spaces that can lead to proficient, thoughtful interactions, increased staff morale, a sense of interconnectedness and enhance communication skills.
