
CHC School-Based Health Center: Groups In Schools (August 25, 2025)
Program Information
Within the training, clinicians will be offered theoretical insights into the powerful therapeutic powers of group therapy. Groups allow our clients to not only receive therapeutic support from our clinical staff, but they also encourage the empowerment of our clients to practice empathic and social supports to one another. Group therapy have numerous benefits such as conflict resolution, stress management, emotional support and social skills. Group therapy provides a structure setting for children to practice social interactions, communication and conflict resolution with their peers.
The SBHC aim to create useful and meaningful groups that are grounded in therapeutic interventions to supporting the treatment goals.

Target Audience
This activity is appropriate for the following audiences:
- Nurse Practitioners
- Nurses
- Physicians
- Social Workers
- Others in behavioral health who can claim either Psychology or Social Work credits, based on licensing/credentialing rules in their state.
