Stephanie Samuels, MD
Dr. Stephanie Samuels is an attending pediatric endocrinologist and assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Yale University School of Medicine. She completed medical school at Weill Cornell Medical College and pediatrics residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She completed clinical fellowship in pediatric endocrinology in 2018 at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where she stayed for an additional year for a research fellowship, with projects in the area of pediatric thyroid disorders. She returned to Yale as recipient of the Yale Pediatric Diabetes NIH NIDDK-funded K12 award in 2019 where her focus has pivoted to addressing childhood obesity and youth-onset Type 2 diabetes. Her current research program—funded by the American Diabetes Association, the Patterson Trust, the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation, and the Doris Duke Foundation—aims to incorporate telehealth options in treatments of obesity and prediabetes in youth.
