Annette Jakubisin Konicki, PhD, APRN, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, FAANP, FAAN

Dr. Annette Jakubisin Konicki is Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Professor at the University of Connecticut’s Elisabeth DeLuca School of Nursing, overseeing the master’s, Doctor of Nursing Practice, and post‑graduate certificate programs. She leads development, evaluation, and strategic planning for all graduate offerings, ensuring alignment with national standards and using data‑informed approaches to guide enrollment management and resource allocation.
She has led national educational initiatives, supported faculty development, and advanced innovation in competency‑based NP curriculum design. A fellow of the Wharton Leadership Program and AACN Leadership in Academic Nursing, she brings expertise in organizational leadership and systems thinking. Her leadership informed the 2024 Competency Implementation Guide and national strategies for curricular mapping and assessment aligned with National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculty's competencies and the AACN Essentials.
Dr. Jakubisin Konicki’s scholarship and leadership span academic–practice partnerships, graduate nursing education, and workforce development focused on health equity. She has delivered national presentations, mentored emerging leaders, and secured federal and foundation funding to support graduate nursing education, expanding the nursing workforce and expanding access to care in underserved communities. She holds a PhD and MS from UMass Medical School Graduate School of Nursing and a BSN from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio.
