Target Audience
This activity is appropriate for all involved in school-based health care, nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, school nurses, school social workers, psychologists, registered dietitians, administrators, and those interested in school health.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to do the following:
- Examine the evidenced-based knowledge and skills necessary to address selected pediatric physical and mental health problems within the school setting and community
- Underline the role of school-based health centers in promoting optimum health and development, reducing health inequities, and supporting safe school environments
