Shruti Bala, MD, MPH is a board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist and physician leader with extensive experience in clinical care, medical education, and departmental leadership. She currently serves as Medical Director of OB/GYN at El Rio Health and has previously served as the Department Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tucson Medical Center. She is passionate about community health. Dr. Bala has held numerous leadership positions within the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), including Scientific Chair for the Annual District Meeting and Arizona Section Treasurer. She is a professional speaker for Hologic’s Diagnostics Division and has presented nationally on topics related to cervical cancer screening and sexually transmitted infections. Dr. Bala earned her Medical Degree and Master of Public Health from the University of Arizona and completed her OB/GYN residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

She enjoys spending time with her family in Tucson, Arizona - whether it is cooking a new vegetarian recipe, curating her home's little free library, or walking her two rescue poodles.
