Jonathan Blitstein, PhD
I am behavioral scientist and Senior Health Services Researcher at the Weitzman Institute with expertise in the design and analysis of randomized and quasi-experimental multi-site and multi-level intervention programs implemented in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and underserved communities. My work focuses on strengthening evidence generation within primary care and safety-net settings. I bring a combination of methodological rigor, statistical expertise, and practical evaluation experience to multidisciplinary research teams. I collaborate with researchers, clinicians, health system leaders, and community partners to evaluate innovative models of care and support quality improvement efforts serving medically underserved populations. My roles frequently involve designing studies, developing analytic plans, leading quantitative and mixed-methods analyses, mentoring researchers, and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. I have served as Project Director, PI, Co-I, and lead evaluator on USDA, CDC, FDA, and foundation-funded grants and contracts, with extensive experience designing evaluations planning, convening expert panels, and overseeing the implementation of data collection and evaluation activities.
