Flora Siao, PharmD is a Senior Clinical Pharmacist at Health Net of California and California Health and Wellness. She graduated from the University of the Pacific Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and has over 14 years of pharmacy experience with 11 years dedicated to managed care pharmacy. Her focus is on Clinical Operations, Drug Utilization Review (DUR), Quality, P&T, and pharmacy utilization and cost trends. She serves on the Health Plan P&T Committee and presents new drugs and DUR educational materials. She also provides pharmacy consult at Case Management Rounds and works closely with nurses, social workers, and Medical Directors. Her current role includes developing initiatives to reduce pharmacy and medical drug spend, supporting the Quality team to improve Medicare STARS pharmacy metrics, and providing oversight over pharmacy vendor operations.
