I Am a licensed certified genetic counselor and a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Genetics
Current position is Professor and Associate Director of MS Genetic Counseling Program at Bay Path University.
I came to BPU in January 2017 to help develop courses and to help start the MS GC Program which began Fall 2017.
In addition, I helped develop an online MS Healthcare Management Program at BPU as well as work on other strategic initiatives.
I currently teach in the program as well as mentor students in the Capstone Process which consists of three courses. I also help to develop new content for the program’s onsite week-end presentations.
Previously I worked as a college professor at multiple institutions and taught multiple courses for nursing and allied health students. I also helped to develop online courses and programs, wrote, and received grants and developed summer camps with the motto “Why Not You!” for the disadvantaged to interest them in nursing and allied health careers.
After receiving my doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Hartford I held positions as Academic Dean and the Vice President of Academic Affairs/Dean of Faculty at St. Vincent’s College’
Since 2008 I have also worked in the Oncology Department at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport CT as a genetic counselor.
I am also a site visitor for the New England Commission for Higher Education (NECHE) and have visited multiple colleges and universities accredited by NECHE throughout New England and in Switzerland.
