Dr. Steve Scholand is a specialist in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine, with a passion for fighting disease.  He graduated from the George Washington School of Medicine in Washington DC and subsequently attended Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia for his internship, residency and fellowship in Infectious Diseases. He has over 20 years of clinical experience, including work overseas in medically underserved areas including the Philippines and Thailand. 

He is well published in a number of journals and he enjoys teaching medical students, residents and fellows. Dr. Scholand also has a passion for taking care of patients at the bedside. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he has worked as a front-line physician, caring for hundreds of the afflicted. He has also served as an educator in a number of local, regional and national presentations and instructive programs on COVID-19.

Steve is the son of the late Dr. Joseph F. Scholand, who practiced Internal Medicine in New Britain, Connecticut for over 30 years.
