Alexa is a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) and Public Health Nurse working to provide individuals and families with high quality, safe, and equitable sexual and reproductive health care. Alexa has over five years of birth center experience in two very different models of birth center care. Through these experiences, she has become incredibly passionate about improving individuals' and families' access to safe, sustainable, and collaborative out of hospital birthing options. She works as a Clinical Operations Specialist with Primary Maternity Care, with a focus on quality improvement frameworks and programs for out of hospital birth, including the Step Up Together program. Clinically, Alexa now works as a CNM at Boston Medical Center, an academic medical center and safety net hospital. She works with an amazingly driven team, serving a diverse and vulnerable population of individuals and families on Labor and Delivery.
