With a diverse educational background spanning Dental Hygiene, Healthcare Administration, and a Master of Public Health, Tempestt has cultivated unique expertise that places them at the forefront of the field. Currently pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Public Health Education, Tempestt's unwavering dedication, passion, and innovative approach have established them as a trailblazer in the realm of public health.
Complementing her academic journey, she is a devoted member of the Greater New Haven NAACP- Women in the NAACP. A distinguished member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated and a dedicated board member for the Connecticut Society of Public Health Education (CT SOPHE), Tempestt is an advocate for policies and initiatives that address health disparities, equity, and opportunities for historically marginalized people.
Leveraging her dual roles as an educator and public health enthusiast to bridge gaps in healthcare access, she serves as a Program Specialist for Community Health Center Inc. (CHCI) psychiatric, geriatric, and pediatric nurse practitioner residency program overseeing the daily operations of residents across multiple CHCI locations. Managing the planning, implementation, and administration of the residency curriculum and ensuring a comprehensive and impactful educational experience for nurse practitioners reflects her commitment to nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals.
