As Program Manager for Education, Dr. Bommarito is responsible for the management of a number of education activities for health professionals at the Weitzman Institute, the research, education, and policy arm of the Moses/Weitzman Health System. Dr. Bommarito’s areas of expertise include continuing education for the health care team, institutional and programmatic accreditation, and qualitative and quantitative research. Prior to joining the Weitzman Institute, Dr. Bommarito held a variety of positions in education, accreditation, and research. Her previous roles include Accreditation and Direct Education Manager at the Minnesota Medical Association, Accreditation Coordinator at the Midwifery Education Accreditation Council, and Research Scientist at the University of Minnesota, Department of Family Social Science. Dr. Bommarito earned her Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and BA in Health Science from Kalamazoo College in Michigan.
