Ariel Porto, MPH
Ariel Porto is a Senior Program Manager at the Weitzman Institute where her work focuses on the conceptualization and development of education initiatives for health care professionals who work with underserved and vulnerable populations. Ariel has over eight years of experience in continuing education program management including hands-on as a Program Coordinator and then as the Program Manager of Project ECHO, which included training and supervising the Project ECHO operations team during a period of rapid growth. She has managed all steps of the project lifecycle of implementing, coordinating, and evaluating virtual continuing education modalities including Project ECHOs and webinars across a variety of topic areas such as pain, substance use disorder, HIV, women’s health, and COVID-19. In her current role, she serves as Project Director of a multi-year HRSA Technology-Enabled Learning Program grant to improve rural health outcomes, maintains effective partnerships with regional and national organizations to achieve deliverables across multiple additional projects, and co-leads Moses/Weitzman Health System’s Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education activities. She completed a dual Bachelor's Degree in Communications and English Literature at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island, and is pursuing a Master of Public Health from the University of Massachusetts Amherst (anticipated May 2023).
