Marie Yardis is the Director of Access to Care at Community Health Center, Inc. As a leader of this department for the last 15 years, her goal is to do just that: ensure access to healthcare for everyone, while acknowledging and breaking down social determinant and health equity barriers in the process.

Marie often says she “belongs out in the world with the people.” Her objective at work and in life is to develop and nurture authentic and meaningful relationships. Being a strong leader is incredibly important to Marie and helps put her Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree to good use. She relies on her 10+ years of experience as a case manager, and a certified Community Health Worker Manager & Director to successfully coach her team members through daily patient support interactions.  The ability to connect to people and communities in a genuine way is what drives the foundation of work that her teams are so committed to, which requires a mentor who is as passionate about the work they share.

Marie strives to continue expanding her teams, with a focus on Community Health Work and reducing health disparities.
