I grew up in Charleston, WV, spent a year in Italy, then went to Atlanta for the next 15 years. I studied at Emory University for everything - BS in Anthropology, PA/MPH dual degree. I almost went the route of ortho surgery but followed my gut and spent another five years in Atlanta at an outpatient pediatric practice. I learned most of what I know from my first supervising physician who had some 40 years of old-school experience; he used to do tympanocenteses and LPs in the office setting before CHOA even opened its doors. I moved to CT in 2019 to be near my sister and I have worked exclusively in FQHCs since. I also met my husband here and we have three dogs and a lot of DIY projects. I am very passionate about teaching both didactic and clinical precepting.
