Breast Cancer Screening Bootcamp (October 30, 2024)
Program Information
The Breast Cancer Screening Bootcamp, a three-session series hosted by the Illinois Primary Health Care Association (IPHCA) on October 30, November 6, and November 14, 2024, from 12-1 PM CT. Each session, eligible for 1 credit (totaling 3 credits), will equip healthcare professionals—including nurses, physicians, social workers, and more—with the latest screening information, state and national data, and strategies to enhance UDS measures, highlighting how all staff can play a vital role in improving breast cancer screening outcomes.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to do the following:
Review evidence-based interventions for breast cancer screening
Learn how to implement QI strategies for increasing screenings
Learn novel approaches and resources for increasing screening
Learn how to maximize EMR efficiency and reporting for improving screening rates
Learn current breast cancer screening initiatives and promising practices from FQHCs
