Health Impact Ohio Community Health Worker Virtual Training Series (December 12, 2025)
Program Information
Health Impact Ohio hosts free, virtual statewide community health worker trainings that provide in depth education on topics that CHWs can use to inform their work in the field of health-related social needs, social determinants of health, public health issues, resource identification and other topics identified in partnership with HIO staff and CHWs participating in the trainings. Our goal is to provide these educational opportunities in partnership with Community Health Workers (CHWs), who identify gaps in knowledge, education, and resources. The HIO staff will seek out expert speakers to develop training sessions that address these gaps, providing CHWs with evidence-based knowledge to serve their clients comprehensively.
This activity meets the second Friday of every month from 12-1:30pm ET.
Target Audience
This activity is appropriate for the following audiences:
- Community Health Workers
- Social Workers
- Nurses
- Other members of the care team
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to do the following:
- Provide statewide training opportunities to between 75-200 CHWs twelve times a year (once a month). This provides a networking experience for CHWs to share learnings and ideas with their peers across the state, which is not currently available outside of this training program in Ohio.
