IECMHC in Action Session 8 (September 10, 2026)
Program Information
This ECHO activity model uses a structured, case-based learning approach to build participants' knowledge and skills through interactive, multidisciplinary dialogue. Each session combines a brief, focused didactic presentation with participant-led case discussions, creating a collaborative learning environment where knowledge flows in all directions. Faculty facilitators model core principles of Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation (IECMHC) practice such as reflective inquiry, parallel process, and capacity-building while guiding participants to apply concepts directly to real-world challenges.
Participants present de-identified cases from their own settings and engage in facilitated discussion to explore strategies, reflect on relational dynamics, and problem-solve collaboratively. This approach emphasizes experiential learning, strengthens professional confidence, and promotes immediate application to practice. Over time, the ECHO model fosters a community of practice, supporting sustained skill development, shared problem-solving, and increased consistency in IECMHC implementation across diverse systems.
This activity meets Thursday of every month from 12-1 pm ET.
