Multicultural and Relational Supervision (March 27, 2025)

Program Information

This training will focus on reviewing supervisor focused competency-based clinical supervision as well as multicultural and relational supervision models. Special attention will be provided to supervisor awareness and insight about how their own diversity identity variables impact supervisory alliances. Participants will also engage in self-reflection regarding how issues of power are explored, or not, within a supervisory relationship as well as bi-directional microaggressions in the supervision process..

This activity will meet on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 9AM - 5PM EST.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to do the following:

  1. Apply a multicultural lens to clinical supervision
  2. Gain exposure to and critique multicultural models of supervision
  3. Identify ways in which one’s personal cultural identity variables impact supervisory relationships
  4. Increase awareness regarding power and identity variables in the supervisory relationship
  5. Articulate and explore supervisory style of building relational safety within supervisory context
