Prescription for Play Medical Provider Training
Program Information
Prescription for Play is a program delivered by primary care providers during routine wellness exams to promote play in children 18-36 months. The program offers free LEGO® DUPLO® bricks for care teams to distribute to these patients and their caregivers. The bricks and related educational material are used as prompts to engage caregivers around the benefits of play for development of emotional, cognitive, creative, social and physical skills.
Prescription for Play is provided to you as a partnership of the Weitzman Institute and the LEGO Foundation.

In support of improving patient care, In support of improving patient care, this activity was planned and implemented by United General, District 304 and Moses/Weitzman Health System and its Weitzman Institute and is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. Additional CE credits are available for dentists, pharmacists, physician assistants/associates, psychologists, registered dietitians, and social workers.

Through Joint Accreditation, Community Health Center, Inc./Weitzman Institute is able to provide AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ to physicians at its activities via Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), American Psychological Association (APA) credit to psychologists, and Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) credit to social workers at its activities.
By completing this activity, you provide Moses/Weitzman Health System Inc. the permission to share completion data with the ACCME and the certifying board(s).
