Danise Seaters, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
Danise J. Seaters, MS, ACNP-BC, is a soon to be doctorally prepared nurse practitioner in health policy and an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She is an advanced practice executive with more than 22 years of experience in healthcare and 14 years as a nurse practitioner specializing in emergency medicine, pulmonary critical care, and advanced practice leadership. She currently serves as the Director of Advanced Practice Education and Fellowships at UC Davis Health, where she provides strategic, systemwide leadership for advanced practice provider (APP) professional development, education, fellowship program development and accreditation, mentorship, and workforce initiatives. She also maintains an active clinical practice in emergency medicine.
Danise is recognized for her work in APP workforce sustainability, advanced practice fellowship development, evidence-based practice implementation, and health policy advocacy. She has led the development of multiple specialty APP fellowship programs, fellowship accreditation, founded and expanded systemwide APP mentorship and professional development initiatives, and collaborates across disciplines to advance clinical excellence and workforce retention. Her scholarly work includes peer‑reviewed publications, national presentations, and contributions to an acute care nurse practitioner textbook. In addition to her academic and clinical leadership roles, Danise Seaters serves as President of the Sacramento Chapter of the California Association of Nurse Practitioners, where she is actively engaged in legislative advocacy and in advancing the professional advancement of the nurse practitioner profession.
