Catherine Alexis Hopkins, FNP

Catherine Alexis Hopkins is the Director of the APP Fellowship Program at Neighborhealth (formerly known as East Boston Neighborhood Health Center), a federally qualified health center in Boston, Massachusetts.
She earned her BA in Cultural Anthropology from Emory University in 2004 and went on to receive her MSN from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2009, graduating as a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society.
Alexis has been a committed leader and advocate within her organization, serving as Co-chair of the APP Council at Neighborhealth from 2024 to 2025, where she championed initiatives to elevate APP voices in leadership. Her passion for service extends beyond her local community—she was a member of the National Health Service Corps from 2012 to 2014 and has participated in international nursing service trips to the Dominican Republic and Guatemala.
As part of the Family Medicine Department at Neighborhealth since 2014, Alexis provides culturally responsive primary care to patients of all ages as a bilingual Spanish-English PCP. In 2021, she became an Epic Clinician Builder in Informatics, improving patient outcomes and provider experience through enhancements to the electronic health record. She has also presented her work on obstetric informatics and health disparities at the 2026 Embodying Maternal Health Equity Conference.
Outside of her professional work, Alexis enjoys playing basketball and Mario Kart with her family.
