Keith Duemling, MBA, CDH-E, CMU-CISO, CHISL, CISSP
As a Senior Director of Cybersecurity Technology at the Cleveland Clinic, Keith brings over two decades of experience to one of the world's premier multispecialty academic medical systems. With a strong background in healthcare cybersecurity and information technology combined with a passion for staying up to date with the latest trends and technologies, he leads the development and implementation of a robust cybersecurity strategy, operational platforms, and the delivery of cybersecurity services to clinical and business stakeholders throughout the enterprise. He firmly believes that every leader should champion talent development for all healthcare technology and cybersecurity professionals while never losing sight of the most essential part of healthcare: our patients. Keith believes in leading by example, fostering a positive and progressive work culture, and is motivated to serve others. Routinely working with individuals at all levels and expertise within the organization, he employs a team-of-teams approach that has been the key to success throughout his career. Keith has served on the board of the Association for Executives in Healthcare Information Security (AEHIS) since 2022 and is the president-elect for 2024.
Prior to joining the Cleveland Clinic, Keith served in multiple information security roles in non-profit healthcare, consulting, and digital printing. As a graduate of Penn State University with a master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) and a master's degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance (MPS-CIA), Keith also serves as an adjunct faculty member for Penn State University, teaching cybersecurity, application development, and clinical informatics. He is a Carnegie Mellon University CISO-Executive Education and Certification Program graduate with certifications from CHIME, HIMSS, ISACA, ISC2, and EC-Council. He also routinely contributes content and presents at CHIME, Becker's Healthcare, and HIMSS.
Keith honorably served in the United States Army, specializing in supply logistics, unit deployment readiness, and weapons systems field readiness. He resides near Cleveland, Ohio, with his wife and three children.
