Danielle Hebert, DNP, MBA, ANP-BC
Danielle Hebert has been in the nursing field for 27 years, completing her nursing degree at Fitchburg State University, her MSN from UMass Chan Medical School Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing and her DNP degree from UMass Boston. She has 17 years' experience in primary care, working as a panel managing primary care provider and holding different leadership positions. She has held several adjunct roles for both MSN and DNP programs before deciding to transition to academia full-time. She is currently an Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Track at UMass Chan Medical School Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing. Her areas of research include gamification in the classroom, use of escape rooms as a learning modality, and fixed versus growth mindset. Her grant work and scholarship focused on developing the HHEALER Framework to guide creation of educational escape rooms and use of the framework in prelicensure and graduate programs. Her work has been disseminated through publications and national and local presentations. Her teaching has been recognized with the UMass Chan Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing 2022-2023 Distinguished Faculty Award Doctoral Program and the 2024 Daisy Faculty Award. In her free time, she enjoys visiting the White Mountains with her family, time with her family and dogs at home, and crocheting baby items to donate to the local hospital nursery.
