Sky is passionate about empowering young people. They thrive in building trusting relationships  and creating opportunities for connection among young people and adults. In July 2022, Sky began working as a Statewide Trainer with Matchstick Consulting. They  support the implementation of Sources of Strength Secondary all across the state of Oregon.

Previously they served K-12 communities as a school counselor on the Oregon coast and in Portland. Sky received their Master of Education in School Counseling from Lewis and Clark College. Sky is experienced in collaborating with comprehensive teams of stakeholders to support students’ access to education and wellness. Sky advocated alongside LGBTQ+ youth to create cultures of belonging and acceptance. In their work with schools and communities, Sky centers equity, social justice, and trauma-informed practices. 

In their free time, Sky enjoys making ceramics, gardening, and strengthening connections with their chosen family. They are always seeking to understand themself, people, and the world on a deeper level. They currently live in Portland, Oregon with their roommate and her feisty cat.
