Kathleen Barros, Pediatric Neuropsychologist
Dr. Barros is a pediatric clinical psychologist and Instructor in the Pediatric Neuropsychology Service at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC). She completed her BA in Psychology with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Management at Johns Hopkins Univerity (JHU) and her MA and PhD in Counseling Psychology with concentrations in neuropsychological assessment and intervention at the Arizona State University (ASU). Dr. Barros completed additional graduate coursework in business administration at ASU, organizational transformation research, and consulting with Simplar Institute. She has assisted and taught undergraduate courses in Child Development and Career Development.
She completed a pre-doctoral internship at the Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital (JHACH), focusing on pediatric neuropsychology, autism assessment, and adolescent therapy. Dr. Barros then completed a post-doctoral fellowship at DHMC, specializing in sports neuropsychology, autism, and complex medical, neurodevelopment, and psychiatric presentations.
Dr. Barros currently performs clinical work at DHMC, specializing in the neuropsychological evaluation of children, adolescents, and emerging adults with diverse neurologic and neurobehavioral presentations. She supervises practica students, pre-doctoral interns, and post-doctoral interns. Over time, her research has focused primarily on organizational change and pediatric neuropsychology, particularly concussion. More recent research endeavors focus on training and supervision in neuropsychology.
