Trends in the Training Field: Adapting for Action Conference (June 21, 2024)
Activity Information
Over the past five years, there have been significant changes and shifts in trends within the field of psychology, both in practice and training. This full-day conference will address topics such as exposure to different career paths; defining important aspects of supervision; how diversity and cultural humility applies to supervision and training; assess different clinical approaches; and special topics in trainees and the training program environment. The gathering of professionals across all stages of training will allow the sharing of expertise and promote the discussion of excellent practice while remaining resilient as demands on this field continue to grow exponentially.
Target Audience
This activity is appropriate for behavioral health providers.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to do the following:
- Examine the role of advocacy in psychological treatment
- Define the career paths one can take as a psychologist
- Assess diversity dynamics and how they arise in the supervisory and clinical relationships
- Distinguish techniques on repairing ruptures in supervision
- Review approaches on how to reflect in clinical supervision
- Address feedback in multi-generational cohorts
- Discuss integrating art and play in clinical approaches
- Explore considerations of diversity in training

- Select the session you attended. Within each activity, select the Continue tab to complete session evaluations and claim your credits.
- Once you have attended all sessions in which you intend to participate and completed the session evaluations:
- You can claim credit commensurate with your total attendance for the conference as a whole.
- You will then be able to download a certificate appropriate to your credentials.
