Georgette Harrison, LPC, CCMHC earned a Master of Arts and Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and completed an Infant-Parent Mental Health Post-Graduate Certificate from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She is currently a doctoral student at Pace University's Mental Health Counseling PhD program, and a candidate at Adelphi University's Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy program. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Connecticut, and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York.
Ms. Harrison has been providing individual/dyadic therapy and parent guidance in English and Spanish for over 16 years. She is currently in private practice and is also a member of the Reflective Supervision Collaborative training team, a collective endeavor focused on supporting the growth of infant and early childhood reflective supervisors, leaders and change agents in order to sustain meaningful levels of reflective supervision and practice in their communities. Prior to private practice, she served as the Director of Clinical and Community Partnerships and then as the Interim Clinical Director of the Child Guidance Center of Southern CT (CGC), a community mental health clinic in Stamford, CT.
Ms. Harrison is a rostered Child-Parent Psychotherapy clinician and an internal agency trainer for Attachment, Regulation & Competency, a trauma-informed treatment model for children and families. In addition, she is a DIRFloortime provider and a Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator. She was a 2021-2022 American Psychoanalytic Association (APsaA) Fellow.
