
Applying Research to Practice to Improve Alcohol Use Disorder Care E-Learning Series
Activity Information
For healthcare professionals, reviewing and interpreting research is essential to staying current with best practices and critically evaluating the evidence that informs clinical care. The goal of this e-learning series is to equip clinicians to distinguish credible sources from unreliable ones and thoughtfully apply research to their practice.
Each module incorporates video and audio content, along with knowledge checks and interactive learning activities. All module content and the associated CME/CE credit are available free of charge.
Modules will be released in phases over the next several years. The following module is currently available:

Aryn Phillips, PhD, MPH

Aryn Phillips is a health care management researcher focused on how alcohol use and alcohol use disorder (AUD) are addressed in health care settings, particularly among adults with chronic medical conditions and with an eye towards equitable access and quality of care. Her research focuses on identifying and overcoming organizational and workforce-related barriers to the provision of high-quality care. She has a PhD in health policy with a specialty in organizations and management from the UC Berkeley School of Public Health and a Master of Public Health in social and behavioral sciences from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
