Program Information
Back to Basics: Shoring Up our Foundation hosted by AMPHL is designed to bring together clinicians and trainees with hearing loss to share experiences, build community, and engage in meaningful learning around issues that shape their professional lives. Through a combination of interactive sessions, small-group discussions, and expert-led presentations, participants will explore topics such as communication access in clinical and educational settings, evolving technologies, advocacy strategies, and approaches to addressing systemic barriers within healthcare environments. The conference emphasizes peer exchange and practical skill-building to support participants across diverse specialties and career stages. By centering the lived experiences of practitioners with hearing loss, this activity aims to foster a collaborative learning environment that promotes professional growth, resilience, and leadership. Attendees will gain insights into best practices for navigating clinical training and practice, enhancing patient care, and advancing equity within healthcare systems. The program also provides opportunities for mentorship, networking, and the development of strategies to strengthen both individual career pathways and the broader AMPHL community.
