School Based Health Center (SBHC) staff members provide primary care medical, behavioral health, and oral health services in the school setting. They address and treat a multitude of physical and mental health issues and provide care for an increasingly wide range of health issues. The Connecticut Association of School Based Health Centers (CASBHC) organizes an annual conference to improve the quality of services provided in SBHCs. This year’s conference, “Cultivating a Culture of Caring” will take place in-person on November 19, 2024.

After the live Project ECHO Support Models for Addiction Related Treatment (SMART) series concluded, Weitzman Institute and Yale School of Medicine adapted the Project ECHO content into brief, engaging e-learning modules in order to reach a broader audience for free. The five modules contain information on starting buprenorphine during pregnancy, psychiatric comorbidities, trauma-informed approaches, and postpartum care.
