Postgraduate Nurse Practitioner Residency Didactic Series 2025-2026: PNP Track
Program Information
Learners will gain clinical care and professional practice knowledge that supports in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex patient populations encountered in primary care in the FQHC and other safety net settings. Learners are actively gaining new and expanded knowledge and skills through this series that can be applied immediately in their current practice, which supports in the increased knowledge and skills of each learner and improvement of patient care and outcomes.
This activity meets weekly on Thursdays from 2:00 to 5:00PM EST.
Target Audience
This activity is appropriate for the following audiences:
- Advanced Practice Primary Care Providers:
- Nurse Practitioners (Family, Psychiatric Mental Health, Adult-Gerontology, and Pediatric)
- Physician Assistants
- Behavioral Health Providers
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to do the following:
- Apply evidence-based clinical strategies to diagnose and manage high-frequency and high-complexity conditions commonly seen in community health settings
- Demonstrate improved clinical reasoning and decision-making when caring for patients with multiple chronic conditions and social determinants of health challenges
- Effectively collaborate with inter-professional team members to coordinate comprehensive, patient-centered care in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs)
- Implement trauma-informed, culturally responsive communication strategies to improve patient engagement and adherence
- Integrate population health tools and data to identify care gaps and improve health outcomes for underserved patient populations
- Reflect on and self-assess personal growth in clinical confidence, competence, and readiness for independent NP practice
